Lucy
joined Allen Valley Angling & Conservation towards the end of
September - just before the end of the brown trout season on the
River East Allen. She is pictured here with her first ever fish - a
beautiful little brown trout measuring about 10 inches - which she
caught on a dry, sedge-type fly on Sunday 25th September. The
photograph was taken by her proud father Peter and captures
perfectly what our new fishing club is all about. I just love how
carefully she's holding up her fish and her expression is one that
I recognise very well - it doesn't matter if it's your first fish
or your 1000th, the feeling you get is the same and is written all
over Lucy's little face.
